Tats. Award-winning composer/post-sound specialist.
Born & raised in Mt. Fuji, Japan. Tatsujiro (Tats) began his career in the 1990's as an artist/music producer. Releasing albums, singles, remixes (including YMO), under the name 'Pop' on several major labels in Tokyo. His song for Ayumi Hamasaki featured on her 'Rainbow' album, which has now sold over 2 million records, also used for a Panasonic commercial.
In 2002, Tats moved to London and started scoring / designing sounds for advertising, film & TV.

The Prodigy (film by Paul Dugdale), MINI idents (for the Jonathan Ross Show (ITV1) ), New Balance commercial with Ben Howard (Stereo & 5.1), Hennessy Campaign with Os Gomeos, the feature film 'Zero Tolerance' screened at Cannes 2014 & TIFF 2014, the feature film 'The Rajini Effect' which garnered award at 2013 Stuttgart, the feature film 'Rohmer in Paris' that was recently picked up the 2013 CPH:DOX, MIFF 2014, Barbican Centre & many more, game 'Warhammer 40k Armagedon' etc.
Sophisticated & innovative creations, solid but transparent sound shape & scope. A non-stop tweaking & smiling stereophonic samurai: Tats is a determined music & sound assassin. Always as serious as Hara-Kiri to lift any project up on to the red carpet. He is also handy in many aspects of post-production having both experience in film-editing with Final Cut Pro & is a 1st Dan (level) tea-maker, black, white and green.
